Job summary

ST Engineering Aerospace Pensacola is seeking an NDT Technician I to perform nondestructive testing and inspection on aircraft components, calibrate instruments, and document results under the Lead NDT. The role requires adherence to RSQCM 4.2 and NAS410 standards, with data recorded per procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining NDT proficiency, keeping current with FARs and codes, and setting up equipment for tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.
• Meets RSQCM section 4.2 requirements for NDT Technicians.
• Training in applicable NDT method certifications held, meeting or exceeding ASNT requirements.
• NAS410 recommended practice.
• ET or UT Level II per NAS410 or SNT-TC-1A and RSQCM 4.2.
• Airframe and Powerplant license preferred; repairman certification acceptable.
• 24 months’ inspection experience or prior documented NDT training/experience.
• 18 months of experience in aircraft maintenance or NDT inspection on aircraft as alternative to A&P license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency, qualification and certification in NDT methods as certified in RSQCM 4.2.
• Maintain familiarity with applicable FARs, standards, and specifications for NDT inspection.
• Set up and standardize NDT equipment, perform tests, evaluate and interpret results; record test results per manual requirements.
• Perform other duties as required by the Lead NDT.
