Job summary

Davis Manufacturing seeks a Penetrant & Mechanical Inspector Level II to ensure high-precision aerospace components meet exacting standards. You will perform FPI and mechanical dimensional inspections on complex geometries, interpreting GD&T and documenting results.

Qualifications

• Current Level II Certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) per NAS-410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
• Geometric expertise inspecting high-precision components with complex geometries (e.g., 5-axis milled parts).
• Proficiency in manual dimensional inspection and standard metrology equipment.
• Must pass and maintain eye examinations (Jaeger) per NAS-410.
• Preferred: Model-Based Definition (MBD) and additional NDT methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on complex, multi-axis parts to detect discontinuities in aerospace alloys.
• Use precision tools to verify tight-tolerance features and internal diameters against drawings.
• Read and interpret GD&T on contoured components.
• Document results, generate NCRs, and collaborate to resolve defects.
