Job description

Penetrant & Mechanical Inspector Level II - U.S. citizenship required

We specialize in machiningcomplex geometriesand difficult-to-cut alloys; your expertise in both Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and mechanical dimensional inspection is vital to ensuring these intricate designs meet the uncompromising standards of flight safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI):Perform high-sensitivity Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) on complex, multi-axis machined parts to detect discontinuities in aluminum, titanium, and advanced aerospace alloys.
  • Mechanical Dimensional Inspection:Utilize precision hand tools—including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges to verify tight-tolerance features and internal diameters against engineering blueprints.
  • Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation:Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards for contoured structural components.
  • Technical Documentation:Record, organize, and report inspection results. Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing leads to resolve root causes of defects.
  • Equipment Calibration:Set up, calibrate, and perform daily/weekly process control checks on NDT equipment and mechanical measuring tools.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Certification:CurrentLevel II Certificationin Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) in accordance withNAS-410or ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
