Job summary

Boeing seeks a NDT Level 2 technician for a contract assignment through a Boeing-approved third party to ensure aerospace component integrity. The role uses multiple NDT methods including ultrasonic, eddy current, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, performing performance checks, documenting results, and supporting procedure development. Training hours required for certifications will be completed as needed.

Qualifications

• Formal training in nondestructive testing is required.
• NAS410/BSS7698 Level 2 certification in at least one NDT method (e.g., Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Radiographic).

Responsibilities

• Set up and standardize equipment; conduct system performance checks; process parts; interpret results for acceptance or rejection; document results.
• Obtain training hours required for any certification pursued; complete additional formal training as required by the company.
• Familiarity with the scope and limitations of each technique and method; ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist in developing and implementing NDT procedures and work instructions.
• Provide guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel in the technique and safety protocols.
• Maintain NDT equipment and ensure calibration; report issues with reference standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA to address non-conformances; participate in audits and inspections.
