Job summary

AMP, Stanton, CA, US is seeking a Certified Non-Destruct Test Technician Level 2 to test and inspect parts for defects using NDT methods including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography and magnetic particle.

The role requires NAS 410 Level 2 certification in FPI or MPI, current certifications, English proficiency, and ability to read drawings. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional overtime in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified to be certified as Level 2 to NAS 410 in one or more NDT methods (FPI/MPI).
• Certifications must be current and in English.
• Ability to read blue prints/drawings and follow precise instructions.
• Able to work around hazardous chemicals and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must have excellent hand/eye coordination and be able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods.
• Perform NDT examinations in conjunction with receipt and in-process inspections.
• Record results and determine acceptance or rejection according to instructions.
• Assist production in setup for receipt inspection as required.
• Train other individuals as required by management.
