Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Waco, TX is seeking a Specialist, Quality - NDI Level 2 to perform nondestructive inspections using UT, PT, ET, RT, MT on aerospace components.

This role requires NAS 410 Level 2 certification, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Onsite work with potential overtime and 4/10 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Successful completion of NAS 410 Level 2 Inspector training in UT, ET, RT, MT, and/or PT (UT and ET methods are highly preferred).
• NAS 410 Level 2 certification with recent documented hours working as an NDT inspector.
• Minimum 6 months experience in aircraft and/or aerospace non-destructive testing processes.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections utilizing a variety of NDI methods which may include UT, PT, ET, RT, and MT.
• Properly utilize NDT test equipment and associated tools to interrogate hardware and determine acceptability.
• Document inspection results in paper and electronic forms and complete work records.
• Inspect parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies to determine acceptability per procedures.
• Work on check aircraft and assist development of NDI procedures and techniques.
• Support training of NDI personnel using hands-on knowledge from vehicles.
