Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a NDT Level II in RT/DR/UT/PT with progression to Level III to join our Canoga Park, CA team. The role focuses on attaining Level III certifications and supporting daily NDT operations onsite.

Minimum requirements include a Level II certificate and NAS410-based experience hours; applicant evidence will be requested. Site audits, supplier coordination, and NDT technique development are core duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related quality experience.
• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related quality experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related quality experience.

Responsibilities

• Review supplier NDT technique sheets for AR-Los Angeles specs and drawings; coordinate with suppliers and prepare necessary reports.
• Manage site NDT supply base by monitoring suppliers to ensure AR requirements flow down to sub-tier suppliers; audit existing NDT suppliers and assess new ones.
• Review process specifications and in-house technique sheets as noted above; provide training and testing to L I and L II.
• Develop, review and approve NDT techniques with L II personnel.
• Write, review and approve specifications pertinent to NDT.
• Support review boards for inspectability of product and prepare NDT for audits.
• Develop and lead corrective action reviews on audit/NCR findings.
• Maintain own L III certifications and participate in NDT department direction.
• Audit and surveillance of quality systems and processes.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years experience

Graduate Degree with 4+ years experience

10+ years related quality experience in lieu of degree
