Job summary

Axius Group, LLC in Wichita, KS seeks an experienced NC Programmer to develop and optimize NC programs for aerospace components. You will create machine tool paths from CAD models and specifications to ensure efficient, precise machining.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to meet aerospace standards, improve productivity, and document tool lists and setup sheets for repeatable processes.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and optimize NC programs for CNC machines, ensuring accurate machining of aerospace components based on CAD models and engineering specifications.
• Develop efficient tool paths for milling, turning, and other operations to reduce cycle time while maintaining precision.
• Assist with setup and selection of tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal production.
• Identify and resolve programming issues during production, optimize machine performance and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with design engineers, machinists, and quality teams to ensure programs meet engineering requirements and production goals.
• Continuously improve machining processes by refining NC programs to increase efficiency and part quality.
• Maintain detailed records of NC programs, tool lists, and setup sheets for repeatable processes.
• Ensure all NC programs comply with aerospace standards and company quality requirements.
