Job summary

Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar in Arlington, WA is seeking a Machine Operator 2 to run NC machines and machining centers to fabricate aerospace parts per engineering specs. You will inspect first part, read drawings, and measure with calipers and micrometers to ensure conformance.

Follow safety guidelines and operate with minimal supervision; training provided as needed. Candidates should have basic machining training, be mechanically inclined, punctual, and able to work shifts as described in the

Qualifications

• Basic machining certificate or training completed.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
• Experience or comfort with Windows-based computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and informs lead.
• Performs work instructions with the exception of setup procedures.
• Inspects first part run for conformance and documents results.
• Meets job standard times with minimal supervision.
• Identifies production problems and informs supervisor.
• Gains understanding of basic machine language (M- and G-codes).
• Verifies finished parts against specifications using standard tools.
• Reads and interprets manufacturing drawings.
• Performs related duties when supervisor is unavailable for training.
• Follows safety guidelines and uses required safety equipment.
