Job summary
Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm ET) to lead maintenance teams, troubleshoot complex equipment, and ensure safe, reliable operations on the shop floor. You will mentor technicians, prioritize work, and collaborate with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to improve equipment reliability.
This role emphasizes LOTO compliance, PM scheduling, and strong communication with site leadership.
Qualifications
- AA/AS degree or equivalent with 6+ years of experience.
- Industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience serving as lead or senior technician.
Responsibilities
- Act as senior maintenance presence on 2nd shift with technical leadership.
- Prioritize and assign maintenance work based on production needs.
- Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Mentor and train maintenance technicians.
- Ensure LOTO, safety procedures, and safe work practices.
- Communicate equipment status to management and site leadership.
- Collaborate with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to improve reliability.
- Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed on schedule.
