Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in California seeks a Production Planner/Scheduler to own the development and execution of the MRO shop schedule, optimizing flow, WIP, and capacity while meeting customer TAT and delivery commitments.

This role drives alignment across Operations, Supply Chain, and Program teams to proactively manage constraints and ensure schedule adherence. It will maintain a master schedule reflecting labor, equipment, and subcontractor constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years in production planning, scheduling, or aerospace/MRO.
• Experience building production schedules to meet delivery priorities.
• Knowledge of capacity planning, WIP management, and flow principles.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) to support planning.
• Understanding of routings, work orders, and production control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage shop schedules to meet customer delivery commitments and TAT targets.
• Balance workload, WIP, and shop capacity across repair operations.
• Build and maintain a Master Schedule aligned with labor, capacity, and subcontractors.
• Actively manage priorities and reschedule past-due work to protect TAT.
• Provide input to MRP and material planning for availability of materials and parts.
• Monitor execution vs. plan, identify bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions.
• Escalate TAT risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Partner with Program/Customer teams to communicate status and recovery actions.
• Track KPI performance: TAT adherence, On-Time Delivery, and WIP health.
• Support continuous improvement to improve flow and capacity.
