Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an MRB Engineer to disposition non-conforming drive system components and design original repairs.

You will lead internal and external technical discussions, cooperate with design and manufacturing teams, and support disposition decisions for flight-critical parts. The role requires 5+ years in aerospace/machining, GD&T knowledge, and strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or relevant field required.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in dynamic component or drive system fabrication in aerospace/automotive.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of fabrication problems and process improvements in aerospace manufacturing of machined metallic parts.
  • Knowledge of Drive Systems design principles.
  • Experience reading blueprints, material specs, process specs and government regulations for repair of discrepant parts; GD&T familiarity.
  • Experience in aerospace/automotive environments focused on gears, bearings, shafts, etc.
  • Experience in precision manufacturing processes such as metal machining and heat treatments.
  • Strong analytical and design abilities.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple activities and adapt to change.
  • Ability to lead projects and drive solutions with multiple groups/suppliers.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to brief leaders and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Become an MRB board member and be certified to disposition non-conforming drive system components and design original repairs.
  • Review and approve fabrication planning as part of the Planning Review Board and provide repair dispositions for Controlled Items.
  • Provide cross-functional engineering support and interpretation of design to manufacturing teams.
  • Support new or existing program development and improvements, including supplier collaboration.
