Job summary

Textron’s Bell unit in Grand Prairie, TX is hiring an MRB Engineer to lead disposition of non-conforming drive-system components and approve repairs across fabrication and repair processes.

You will collaborate with design, production, and suppliers to ensure compliance with MRB procedures and flight safety standards on the production floor. A strong background in mechanical/components engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or relevant field.
• 5+ years of engineering in dynamic drive-system fabrication in aerospace/auto industries.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of fabrication problems in aerospace manufacturing.
• Knowledge of drive systems design principles.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and regulations including GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Dispositon of non-conforming drive-system components (gears, bearings, shafts, housings, etc.).
• Design repairs (bushings/sleeves/liners) based on fit/form/function.
• Review fabrication planning and provide repair dispositions for controlled items.
• Provide cross-functional engineering support to manufacturing and program teams.
• Participate in root-cause and corrective-action activities with suppliers and teams.
