Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced Materials Review Board Engineer (MRB) to join the Operations Support Organization on the FLRAA program.

You will disposition nonconforming airframe components and contribute to repairs design, working with airframe design, stress, materials, and production teams. You’ll support root cause investigations, ensure compliance with design requirements, and mentor MRB candidates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Engineering work experience in aircraft production support or airframe design.
  • Prior MRB experience/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dispositon of non-conforming airframe parts (composite, metallic, bonded panels, welded, castings, forgings, gears, cases, masts).
  • Design of original repairs (doublers/angles/bushing/sleeves) based on fit/form/function at next assembly.
  • Review and approve fabrication planning as part of Planning Review Board.
  • Provide dispositions for Controlled Items (Primary, Critical, & Flight Safety Parts).
  • Develop timely and cost‑effective engineering dispositions for nonconforming components.
  • Support MRB-related root cause/corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Manufacturing and Suppliers on repairs schemes.
