Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks an M&S Engineer in Dayton, OH to support a small, highly empowered team. You will develop models and simulation software for aerospace applications, document changes, and perform test planning and data analysis.

You will integrate models into complex simulation architectures, including engagement- and theater-level simulations as well as hardware-in-the-loop setups. A background in aerospace dynamics and DoD-related modeling is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in modeling and simulation software development frameworks.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Understanding of aerospace system functions and dynamics and how to model them.
• Ability to solve difficult hardware and software integration challenges.
• Self-starter able to work independently and in a team under tight timelines.
• Ability to interact with data suppliers, coworkers, and customers across locations.
• Excellent written, oral and digital communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to the Dayton, Ohio area.

Responsibilities

• Develop models, algorithms and simulation software for system types and perform trade-space analysis to assess and verify system characteristics and capabilities.
• Document software and hardware characteristics, test architecture, experimental design and test execution, data collection and analysis, and report generation.
• Integrate models into complex simulation architectures, including engagement-level, theater-level, and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
