Job summary

Metronome, LLC is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Engineer IV in Dayton, OH. The role develops and integrates aerospace models (aircraft, missiles, space) using MATLAB and Simulink in a code-driven environment, contributing to software development and test automation.

On-site work is required to support NASIC missions, with a Top Secret security posture. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in modeling and simulation, strong aerospace dynamics knowledge, and proven ability to link modeling

Qualifications

Master's degree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Hands-on MATLAB and Simulink development, not just running simulations.
Experience turning physical concepts into system models.
Strong analytical and documentation skills, capable of independent and team work.
Current or eligible Secret clearance and willingness to relocate to Dayton.

Responsibilities

Develop and modify system, subsystem, component, and flight-dynamics models for aerospace applications.
Build mathematical and simulation models representing aircraft, missile, space, or satellite systems.
Model six-degree-of-freedom flight dynamics, aerodynamics, propulsion, and guidance components.
Develop algorithms and simulation software to evaluate system performance.
Conduct verification, validation, and data-driven analysis of models and outputs.
Integrate models into complex simulation architectures and test frameworks.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and government customers and document conclusions.
