Job summary

Metis Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer to join our team and help us build and support a cutting-edge platform for the next generation of air traffic management simulation and research.

The successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with a passion for modeling and simulation (ideally in an aerospace environment) with extensive software engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering, DevOps, software operations, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience developing complex, scalable applications in Java and/or another object-oriented language.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, automate, secure, and maintain the infrastructure and processes used to build, test, deploy, and operate project software.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, system administrators, researchers, and other technical stakeholders.
• Develop scalable applications and algorithms for the modeling and simulation platform.
• Support the air traffic management simulation and research platform.
