Job summary

Metis Technology Solutions seeks a Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer to join our team in Moffett Field, CA. The role focuses on building and supporting a modern platform for air traffic management simulation and research, requiring strong software engineering experience with Java.

The candidate will work with diverse technical staff to design, implement, automate, secure, and maintain project software, systems, and workflows, ensuring reliability and performance in a complex aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in software engineering, DevOps, software operations, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or similar field.
• At least 8 years of experience developing complex, scalable applications in Java or another OO language.
• Proven proficiency in algorithm design and data structures; strong emphasis on clean, scalable code.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, automate, secure, and maintain infrastructure and processes for building, testing, deploying, and operating project software.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, system administrators, researchers and other technical staff to deliver high-quality software.
• Support and enhance a cutting-edge platform for air traffic management simulation and research.
