Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in the United States is seeking a Milling Machinist Level 2/3 to support aerospace tooling and flight hardware manufacturing. The role requires self-direction and precision work in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will program Mastercam, set up Haas CNC mills/lathes, read detailed drawings and GD&T, and design fixtures to support production and assembly of complex components. Strong problem-solving and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Mastercam programming for milling and turning is required.
• Must be able to read drawings/solid models.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance per company needs.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 4 hours.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes for tooling and production parts.
• Create and modify Mastercam programs from CAD models and drawings.
• Design and build fixtures and tooling for prototype or one-off applications.
• Perform manual machining for tool repair or prototype development.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T callouts, and 3D CAD models.
• Select tools, calculate feeds/speeds, verify machining parameters.
• Conduct first article inspection to ensure part compliance.
