Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Milling Machinist Level 3/4 to program, set up and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes for precision tooling and fixtures. The role requires advanced Mastercam skills and the ability to work from detailed drawings.

The position offers challenging aerospace tooling work, a fast-paced environment, and opportunities to contribute to flight hardware production while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 4 years additional education/experience.
• Mastercam programming experience for milling/turning.
• Ability to read drawings/solid models and work from them.
• US Citizenship required; DoD clearance eligibility.
• Willing to work any shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Haas mills and lathes for tooling and fixtures.
• Create/modify Mastercam programs from CAD models and drawings.
• Design and build fixturing for one-off or prototype work.
• Perform manual machining and inspect parts per drawings.
• Read blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models; select tools and speeds.
• Self-inspection and first article verification before release.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality personnel to improve processes.
• Maintain organized workspace and adhere to 5S/FOD standards.
