Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems in Kansas is seeking a Milling Machinist Level 3/4 for the A-Shift. The role involves programming, setup, and operation of Haas CNC mills/lathes for precision tooling and flight hardware components.

Strong Mastercam skills and fixture design experience are essential. You will read blueprints/3D CAD, calculate feeds and speeds, perform first article verification, and collaborate with engineers to solve manufacturing challenges in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

Experience in Mastercam programming for milling and turning.
Ability to work from drawings/solid models.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes for tooling and production.
Create and modify Mastercam programs from CAD models and drawings.
Design/custom fixtures, jigs, and tooling for prototypes and production.
Perform manual machining for tool repair and prototypes.
Read blueprints and GD&T callouts and 3D CAD models.
Select tools, calculate feeds and speeds, and verify parameters.
Conduct first article verification and ensure part compliance.
Collaborate with engineers and quality personnel to refine processes.
Maintain organized work area and adhere to 5S and FOD standards.
