Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed your sophomore or junior year and be enrolled in a degree program for the fall of 2027. We will also accept students enrolled in a graduate degree program.
• Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a team environment; high energy and desire to learn.
• Familiarization with Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide Manufacturing Engineering support for Tactical RF aperture and electronic products in a high mix / low volume aerospace environment supporting our mission to help the warfighter on advanced technology platforms.
• Participate in manufacturing projects including work cell design, layout, optimization, and resource utilization for high mix / low volume builds.
• Participate in Lean manufacturing projects in support of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and / or refine modeling tools for projecting manufacturing resource needs.
• Learn and gain competence in using manufacturing system tools and systems.
• All work will be performed under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Conclusion of internship requires the preparation and formal presentation of project work to the Manufacturing Engineering department.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
