Job summary

AeroVironment is offering a paid Summer Internship Program in Manufacturing Engineering. You will work alongside experienced engineers on projects involving Lean and Six Sigma to analyze production data and improve processes.

The 12-week, onsite program is designed for highly motivated students or recent graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Relocation and housing reimbursement may be available, and a variety of teams and locations across the United States will be discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Some coursework in manufacturing, process improvement, or quality control.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing and BOMs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design and operation of manufacturing systems for AV UAVs.
• Assist in analyzing production processes and data to drive improvements.
• Help implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize workflows.
• Assist in creating and updating standard work hours, sequences, and assembly docs.
• Contribute to DFMEA/PFMEA activities and cost estimation for tooling.
