Job summary

RTX internship in Austin, TX offers hands-on experience in aerospace metrology. You will assist volumetric metrology scanning with CT and structured light, and collaborate with tooling designers to create nesting fixtures for scanned parts.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Bachelor's or advanced degrees in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related STEM fields, with strong GPA and interest in quality concepts within RTX’s aerospace division.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship

Responsibilities

• Assist with volumetric metrology scanning using computed tomography and structured light equipment
• Collaborate with onsite tooling design to produce nesting fixtures for scanned parts
• Review work instructions and standard work documents for clarity and completeness
