Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Mathematics: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units, with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning: Follow detailed but not complex written or oral instructions.
• Physical demands: Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Certificates: Forklift certification, preferred.
• Other abilities: Ability to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Verifies stock to work order requirements (alloy, temper, gauge, size, producer, lot number, and grain direction).
• Sets up saw and prepares parts for processing.
• Cuts and verifies parts are within tolerances using micrometer and caliper.
• Marks each part with required identification and labels remnants per policy.
• Stamps work orders with inspection stamp per QC manual.
• Performs daily and weekly maintenance checks on metal saw and tools.
• Keeps work area clean and safe; participates in scrap coordination.
• Operates forklift and overhead crane as required.
• Performs in-process and final inspection of parts.
• Participates in TQM and SPC meetings.
