Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is seeking a production or general manufacturing associate to support stock verification, saw setup, and final inspections on the shop floor in Saint Charles, Missouri.

The role requires reading and interpreting work orders, basic math for measurements, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; forklift certification is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits and safety compliance expectations.

Qualifications

• Language skills: ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning ability: carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Physical demands: occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Verifies stock to work order requirements (alloy, temper, gauge, size, producer, lot no, and grain direction).
• Sets up saw and cuts parts to customer tolerances using micrometer and caliper instruments.
• Marks each part with customer-required identification and labels remnants per policy.
• Stamps work orders with quality inspection stamp as required by QC manual.
• Operates forklift and overhead crane, as required; performs daily/weekly maintenance checks and keeps area clean.
