Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines and power systems, seeks a skilled Materials Analyst to support investigations and material characterizations. You will perform SEM/EDS analyses, prepare samples, and generate precise lab reports for aerospace applications.

The role emphasizes independent work, ability to prioritize, and clear communication with customers, while contributing to high-quality materials evaluation at East Hartford facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years in a related field.
• Advanced degree acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in investigations involving complex chemical and metallurgical problems, using established as well as innovative techniques.
• Perform microstructural analyses related to aerospace materials for compliance to standards.
• Familiar with SEM/EDS techniques including sample prep, microscope operation, and data collection/analysis.
• Perform SEM/EDS investigation on non-metallic and metallic samples for failure analysis, characterization, and material identification.
• Provide clear, concise lab reports and interact effectively with customers at all levels.
