Job summary

Flatwater Group is seeking a Medical Records Technician to support the Aerospace and Operational Medicine Division at HQ AFRC. You will maintain and review aeromedical records for about 70,000 reservists, ensuring complete documentation and accurate coding loaded into DoD systems to support medical readiness.

Qualifications

• Degree in health information management, health sciences, medical administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience processing and managing physical exams and medical standards, preferably in a military medical environment or equivalent civilian setting.

Responsibilities

• Review medical data for completeness to support government adjudication.
• Perform technician-level data entry for front- and back-end management of medical cases.
• Maintain and update electronic systems (AIMWTS, ECT, PEPP, MEDXS, ASIMS).
• Apply ICD-10 coding and medical terminology to document case files accurately.
• Monitor case status and communicate with RMUs on incomplete files.
• Prepare data for final disposition and generate processing metrics reports.
• Produce databases, spreadsheets, and graphics for division meetings and training.
