Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is building the Terran R rocket and advancing aerospace manufacturing. The Structures and Mechanisms team designs, builds, and tests mechanisms that enable stage separation, payload deployment, and landing gear, with close collaboration across structures, avionics, fluids, and manufacturing.

You will own full design cycles from conceptualization to prototyping and testing, applying NX/Teamcenter/Ansys or equivalent tools, and contributing to manufacturability

Formación

• 0-2+ years in full-cycle design engineering (CAD, analysis, build, test).
• Knowledge of kinematic synthesis, pneumatic/hydraulic actuation.
• Knowledge of structures strength and fatigue failure modes.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on hardware build experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for complex discussions.

Responsabilidades

• Design Terran R mechanisms such as stage separation and deployment.
• Collaborate with structures, avionics, and fluids teams.
• Execute full design cycle from conceptualization to testing.
• Lead subsystems integration with additive manufacturing processes.
