Job summary

GE Aerospace is hiring for a manufacturing-focused role in the United States. The position pays $21.50 per hour and includes opportunities for a discretionary annual bonus based on base salary plans. Qualifications

• High School Education or GED equivalency.
• 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces.
• Ability to pass Visual Acuity Exam.
• Ability to obtain solder, braze, and ESD certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing (dielectric, megger, hipot).
• Perform in-process hi-pot testing.
• Perform basic setup of fixtures.
• Perform vapor blasting as required.
• Perform inventory counts and verification.
• Assist with prototype or first-time builds with guidance from higher level employees.
• Assist Engineering and/or Team in development/improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
• Review expiration date of materials to ensure all are current.
• Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
• Cross-train other employees as needed.
• Complete all labor tracking documentation.
• Perform basic Oracle transactions as required.
• Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
• Keep shift operators informed on special problems.
• Communicate with team to ensure awareness of new processes and issues.
• May interact with cross-functional teams (planning).
• May act as primary contact for auditors.
• May require FAA certification.
• Perform troubleshooting responsibilities.
• Participates in and support team initiatives.
• Utilizes proper PPE and safety procedures.
• Abide by GE Leadership behaviors.
