Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Mechanical Engineer in Irvine, CA (Work from Office) for a long-term contract. You will design environmental control systems and thermal management architectures for aerospace hardware, sizing components, and analyzing fluid dynamics to optimize ducting and pressure drops.

Interface with basic electronics, perform thermal calculations, and develop control loops for stable operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and aerospace exposure.
• 2–5 years designing and analyzing industrial or aerospace equipment.
• Experience with environmental control equipment and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design ECS and thermal management architectures for aerospace hardware.
• Size components such as valves, regulators, heat exchangers, and fans.
• Model fluid/gas dynamics to optimize ducting and pressure drops.
• Interface mechanical hardware with basic electronics and sensors.
• Perform thermal math and 3D heat-load calculations.
• Develop control loops to regulate temperature and airflow.
• Create test plans and analyze environmental test data.
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-810 and DO-160.
• Draft CAD models and manufacturing drawings using NX/CATIA/SolidWorks.
• Troubleshoot hardware during assembly and testing.
