Job summary

Janicki Industries, an innovative aerospace company, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and deliver advanced machines and automated manufacturing systems. This on-site role located in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State, involves close collaboration with machinists and controls engineers to bring concepts to production.

The role requires 6+ years designing large mechanical systems, experience with NX or CATIA, and strong English communication. Candidates must be able to obtain U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/engineering technology or similar field.
• Minimum 6 years designing large mechanical systems with automation components.
• 6 years' experience using NX or CATIA.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Experience managing large assembly models and outsourcing manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for manufacturing automation.
• Create machines for composite and metal tooling.
• Deliver production-ready, highly automated equipment.
• Support CNC machine installation and integration with production lines.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams during CNC installation and commissioning.
• Develop installation plans, timelines, and acceptance criteria for CNC equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and integration issues on live production.
