Job summary

Vast is hiring a Manufacturing Technician for Mechanical Assemblies on the 2nd shift in Long Beach, CA. The role supports subassembly operations including structures and thermal control systems for Haven-1 and beyond.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with 2:00pm–10:30pm shift hours. Expect to work with precise tools, read specs, and collaborate with engineers and quality staff to ensure timely, compliant production.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Strong collaboration and communication with engineering and production teams.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Experience with New Product Introduction/Development (NPI).
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and work with calibrated tools.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble flight hardware using drilling, fastening, bonding, and other processes.
• Use precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
• Follow procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and quality personnel to document work instructions.
• Ensure all production services are performed on time, safely and professionally.
