Job summary

Vast Space Llc. is seeking an Integration Technician for 2nd shift in Long Beach, CA. You will support system integration for artificial-gravity space station components, reading drawings, assembling hardware, and performing tests.

The role requires 6+ years in hardware assembly and testing, aerospace experience preferred, and ability to lift 25 lbs. Shift is 2:00pm–10:30pm with potential travel for testing at remote sites.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 6+ years of hardware assembly, test, and/or installation experience.
  • Experience in aerospace/high-rel reliability environments preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods to support vehicle testing.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and test flight hardware per procedures and tests.
  • Read and interpret drawings; follow work instructions for integration.
  • Operate torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers and other tools.
  • Handle large and small assemblies with care; ensure quality.
  • Conduct high-pressure pneumatic testing and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality teams on integration activities.
  • Maintain compliance with ESD best practices during operations.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to standard.
