Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for our onsite Colorado Springs facility. This entry-level position involves assembling aircraft components under direct supervision, reading blueprints and performing routine tasks on a Monday–Friday schedule, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED with related technical training and at least 2 years of experience.

• U.S. citizenship required to access information under the program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
• Reads standard work or blueprints and performs routine assembly tasks.
• May track parts, check stock, and ensure timely delivery of product to the customer.
• Adheres to safety rules and participates in lean/ACE initiatives.
