Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Savannah is seeking an Engineering Group Head 2 in Materials & Processes to lead a team of engineers tackling advanced metallic and composite materials, aircraft structures, and NDT/NDE challenges.

You will mentor 4–10 engineers, shape technical strategy across manufacturing processes, and partner with operations, quality, and customers to deliver safe, reliable Special Missions and in-service aircraft solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 13 years engineering experience; 8 years in a technical discipline.
• 5 years supervisory or broad managerial responsibility.
• Experience with aerospace OEMs or suppliers.
• Ability to lead and develop engineers.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team of 4–10 engineers.
• Provide technical leadership across metallic materials, composites, aircraft structures, manufacturing, and NDT/NDE.
• Investigate complex issues, determine root causes, and develop solutions.
• Support Special Missions aircraft and in-service Gulfstream fleet.
• Set priorities, schedules, and deliverables while ensuring quality.
• Develop talent through coaching and career development.
• Lead root cause corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Communicate issues and recommendations to senior leaders and customers.
