Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a leading aerospace organization, seeks a Materials and Processing Engineer in Savannah, GA. You’ll lead innovation, guide major programs, and shape aircraft design and production.

You’ll evaluate materials, balance performance, cost, and schedule, review designs with CATIA, and collaborate with multiple engineering teams. Onsite 1st shift, payrate $87.40/hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years in a specific technical discipline or 15+ years across multiple disciplines.
• Extensive experience solving complex engineering problems.
• Strong understanding of Materials and Processes Engineering principles.
• Experience making technically authoritative decisions.
• Strong communication across multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Ability to work full-time onsite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the successful completion of major engineering programs and complex technical initiatives.
• Select appropriate engineering methods and evaluation criteria to resolve Materials and Processes issues.
• Serve as a recognized technical authority for engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Anticipate complex technical challenges and develop creative, effective solutions and engineering guidelines.
• Make authoritative technical recommendations balancing performance, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Communicate technical requirements to suppliers and multidisciplinary teams, including Powerplant, Environmental Control, Structures, Electrical, and Mechanical.
