Job summary

The Structures Company in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a Materials Planner to manage material flow for aerospace production. The role involves reviewing drawings, calculating material needs, and building BOMs within MRP systems to support production schedules.

Candidates should have a related degree and 2–5 years in materials planning, with aerospace experience preferred and strong data-management skills in ERP/MRP, databases, spreadsheets, and project management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in materials planning or production planning in manufacturing.
• Experience in aerospace or aircraft interiors preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Examine engineering drawings for material/spec inaccuracies.
• Compute material quantities and types from drawings.
• Determine make vs. buy for sub-assemblies and build BOM in MRP system.
• Maintain data integrity in MRP for planning and procurement.
• Track material deliveries and align with production schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores to keep parts stock optimal.
• Analyze material costs and identify waste-reduction opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and system use.
