Job summary

The Structures Company, LLC is seeking a Materials Planner to translate engineering designs into material requirements and maintain BOM accuracy in the MRP system. You will coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Production to align material availability with schedules.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–5 years of materials planning experience, preferably in aerospace interiors. Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; equivalent combination allowed.
• 2–5 years of experience in materials planning, production planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment; aerospace/interiors preferred.
• Experience in aerospace or aircraft interiors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine engineering drawings for material specifications and accuracy.
• Build BOMs in the MRP system and determine make/buy decisions.
• Ensure data integrity in MRP for planning, procurement, and production.
• Calculate material requirements from schedules, lead times, and forecasts.
• Generate and manage purchase requisitions aligned with production needs.
• Monitor material deliveries against aircraft modification schedules.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Ops, PM, Sales to share material specs, lead times, substitutions, and costs.
• Coordinate with Procurement to improve lead times and quality.
• Maintain adequate parts and raw materials with Procurement and Stores.
• Analyze material costs and identify value optimization opportunities.
• Drive improvements in planning processes, material flow, and system utilization.
