Job summary

Canopy Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Material Planner to analyze production demand, inventory, and supplier commitments to keep a disciplined supply chain on track. You will partner with Production Planners and Purchasing to ensure timely material availability and feasible work orders in a 100% on-site Ontario, CA environment.

You will leverage ERP/MRP knowledge and advanced Excel skills to optimize safety stock, lead times, and lot sizing while supporting ERP implementation and continuous

Qualifications

• 5+ years of material planning or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or regulated environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP concepts (demand, supply, lead time, safety stock).
• Experience with Epicor, JobBOSS, or comparable ERP software preferred.
• Strong Excel/data-analysis skills with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production demand, MRP requirements, and inventory positions to identify material exposure.
• Maintain a forward-looking material risk view and communicate shortages to Production Planners.
• Translate production needs into quantities and required-by dates for Purchasing.
