Job summary
A consulting firm in Tempe, AZ seeks a Materials Design Engineer to provide engineering support for aerospace cast and forged products. The candidate will mentor junior engineers and troubleshoot materials and processes. Required is a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 4+ years in materials engineering, especially with aerospace alloys. This position is 100% onsite, offering the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams and improve aerospace component quality.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in materials and/or process engineering within the casting and/or forging industry.
Strong background in castings, forgings, and/or metallography.
Experience conducting supplier audits and supporting supplier qualification.
Responsibilities
Provide materials and process engineering support for cast and/or forged aerospace components.
Participate in all phases of product development from concept through production support.
Serve as a technical point of contact and mentor for junior engineers.
