Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Materials and Processes Engineer to champion metallic materials and manufacturing processes for spacecraft hardware, propulsion, and avionics.

You will define material requirements, run analyses, support design reviews, and qualify flight hardware as we scale production. You will coordinate lab activities, develop a materials database, and drive test campaigns while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, materials, physics, aerospace, or related engineering field.
• 10+ years of industry experience in materials science and engineering.
• Experience with aerospace metallic materials (aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own material selection, qualification, process requirements, design guidance, supplier controls, and technical disposition for typical aerospace metallics.
• Establish and own internal materials and process specifications including heat treatment, welding, brazing, plating, passivation, anodizing, coatings, and inspection.
