Job summary

GKN Aerospace in El Cajon, CA is seeking a Material Handler to support efficient material flow, packaging, and shipping within a Lean Operating Model. You will work across stores, receiving, shipping, and inventory control, coordinating with production and logistics teams to meet deadlines.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years warehousing experience, fluency in English, and ability to operate material handling equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3+ years of Manufacturing or Warehousing and logistics experience, including some ERP/ MRP experience.
• Required basic computer and math skills
• Practitioner level for Internal Flow & Warehousing
• Use of Material Handling Equipment (forklift, pallet jack, and motorized transportation vehicle).
• Must be fluent (speaking and reading) the English Language

Responsibilities

• Work with various departments to prioritize work orders and manufacturing or tool set-up tasks in an assigned production cell.
• Assist supervision and workforce in the resolution of work order or shop supply discrepancies, problems and/or concerns.
• Coordinate pick and delivery of works with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Ensuring adherence to all local and federal laws, regulations, and safety procedures in shipping processes.
• Drive a stake bed truck to transport customer goods to GKN Aerospace premises.
• Maintains clean work environment in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations.
