Job summary

HW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Masker for South Windsor, CT. Temp to perm; must be able to work Saturdays when needed. The role requires applying masking materials for surface treatments while complying with NADCAP standards to protect non-design areas of aerospace components.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years masking or surface prep experience, strong attention to detail, and safety awareness. Training and equipment provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in masking or surface preparation, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Knowledge of masking materials and surface treatment processes (coating, plating, anodizing).
• Must be detail oriented and able to follow technical specifications.
• Safety awareness and ability to work with chemicals and industrial equipment.
• Proficient in recording process data and maintaining production logs.
• Good communication to coordinate with production and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply masking materials (tape, plugs, caps) to parts and assemblies.
• Ensure NADCAP guidelines are followed during masking.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness and readiness before masking.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to meet specs and timelines.
• Document masking processes with materials used, time spent, and deviations.
• Perform quality checks on masking and address issues before next process step.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and wear PPE as required.
• Suggest process improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Handle multiple parts or batches and meet production deadlines.
