Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC is seeking an onsite Lead Masking Technician in Lynwood, CA 90262 to join our aerospace finishing team. You will mask surfaces, follow drawings and work orders, and maintain accurate paperwork.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of masking experience in aerospace, can supervise and train staff, stand for long periods, read blueprints, and wear PPE. Competitive pay and benefits are offered. This role requires ITAR awareness and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
• Minimum 4+ years of masking experience in an aerospace processing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Vision requirements: Near and distance.
• Ability to hear average-level conversations.
• Tactile sensitivity to handle delicate parts.
• Must wear PPE including safety glasses.

Responsibilities

• Mask or shield surfaces of parts that do not require processing.
• Process parts according to shop work orders, applicable specifications, and drawings.
• Follow verbal and written instructions provided by the supervisor.
• Inspect incoming parts for damage, scratches, or other defects.
• Accurately complete work orders and all required paperwork.
• Safely handle hazardous materials in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Manage and Train personnel.
• Understand and read blueprints masking drawings.
• Able to use Proflow.
• Act as the lead for the department.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Able to manage work flow and maintain schedules.
• Ability to mask all parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
