Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a masking technician to prepare aerospace components for painting, coating, and chemical treatments. You will apply masking materials to protect areas, inspect work for accuracy, and maintain detailed records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

Apply masking materials (tapes, plugs, liquid masks) to aerospace components per specifications and blueprints.
Inspect components before and after masking to ensure accuracy and quality.
Maintain accurate records of masking processes, materials used, and time spent on each task.
Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and quality control to ensure smooth workflow and high quality output.
Maintain and clean masking tools and equipment to keep them in good working order.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
