Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to own electrical, functional, and automated test systems for aircraft, docks, and subassemblies. You will lead end-to-end test system delivery on factory floors designed for high-throughput manufacturing and rapid product iterations.

You will prioritize safety, traceability, and measurable improvements in yield and time-to-deploy while working in a fast-scaling production environment with direct impact on aircraft reliability and delivery network

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production test systems or end-of-line testers.
• BS in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on with instrumentation, signal measurement, power delivery, and PCBA-level electrical debugging.
• Strong test-automation experience: Python; LabVIEW or TestStand integration with DAQ, scopes, DMMs, power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Own production testers and calibration stations from design through release and sustainment.
• Define test coverage, pass/fail limits, and release criteria with cross-functional teams.
• Integrate harnesses, DAQ, sensors, actuators, power systems, and safety interlocks to meet throughput goals.
• Build automation and data pipelines using Python, LabVIEW/TestStand, or equivalents for data logging and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot escalations on the factory floor; distinguish defects from measurement issues; validate fixes before release.
• Improve yield, reduce false fails, and report monthly progress.
