Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Iuka, MS is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 3 to support our Aeronautics Systems site. You will read blueprints, assemble structural components, and verify dimensions with precision tools. The role requires the ability to work shifts including weekdays, nights, and weekends.

This position offers relocation assistance where available and potential overtime; a U.S. Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in hydraulics or related aerospace environments.
• Ability to perform physical and repetitive work including lifting up to 35 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret level clearance and have US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints for structural assemblies.
• Translate blueprints into fabrications including drilling, countersinking, and using calibrated tools.
• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
• Perform part-fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, riveting, drilling, reaming.
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modify assemblies to reflect design changes while maintaining quality.
• Operate shop controls and follow manufacturing processes.
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Suggest improvements to production methods and equipment performance.
