Job summary

Cessna Aircraft Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Resource Planner III at the Manufacturing Technology Center. You will allocate resources for process planning, manage BOM consumption, and create manufacturing orders in Bell systems, while interpreting drawings, BOMs, and specifications to support producibility in aerospace manufacturing.

You will maintain CAP routings, NC programs, tools, and gages, provide planning support to manufacturing operations, and ensure records meet cost

Qualifications

• Two years of college education or two years of experience in the aircraft industry or related Bell apprentice program.
• Demonstrated capability in applying GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
• Experience in technical writing within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with planning software, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/MRP software, tool design repositories, and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Administer effective allocation of manufacturing resources for process planning creation and maintenance.
• Manage BOM consumption and create manufacturing item orders in Bell systems.
• Create and maintain manufacturing instructions (drawings and modeling) when an MCAD model exists.
• Interpret Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain CAP routings, work sequences, dimensional charts, and manufacturing instructions.
• Create and maintain manufacturing orders/requests including NC programs, tools/fixtures, and gages.
• Provide process planning support to manufacturing operations, including production order maintenance and liaison functions.
• Maintain records and schedules of work assigned, meeting cost control standards and qualifications.
• Interact with internal/external customers through strong verbal and written communication.
• Apply aircraft manufacturing knowledge to train, direct, instruct, and validate production engineering work.
• Attend training and complete competency-based testing to stay current with technological advancements.
• Support producibility assessments using GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
• Develop knowledge of Loft, Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, and Planning processes and procedures.
