Job summary

RTX's Cedar Rapids Service Center seeks a student to help manage Customer Returned Goods (CRG) operations and coordinate daily project schedules. You will work with floor Supervisors and Project Managers on priorities, metrics and responsibilities.

You will learn data analysis, continuous improvement, and trend analysis for CRGs, while gaining exposure to project planning and stakeholder communication. Relocation eligibility offered.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Business, or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools.
• Experience delivering presentations using data visualization tools to communicate production metrics or project updates to cross‑functional teams or leadership.

Responsibilities

• Track progress and identify/resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to CRG on-time delivery schedule.
• Coordinate Service Center daily material shortages.
• Coordinate Factory and Service Center GS and DCMA on-time deliveries.
• Identify and address product flow problems and recommend resolutions for efficiencies.
• Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Maintain and update Service Center CRG monthly metrics.
• Assist in financial analysis of transfer rates, direct expenses rates, and purchasing.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Identify potential risks, find solutions, and resolve issues or delays.
